Breast Self-Examination
Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths for women in Australia. 1 in 11 women are likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 75 years and 9 out of 10 women diagnosed had no family history of breast cancer.
Breast self examination is the easiest way to find changes to your breasts early. There are a number of reasons why you may feel new lumps but it is always worth talking to your Doctor or Women’s Health Nurse about it. The earlier breast cancer is detected and treated the more likely you are to have a good outcome.
